AdherenceFirst Group, an organization focused on regulatory and technological adherence for the iGaming sector, has become a member of the Dutch iGaming Association (NOGA). This action follows AdherenceFirst establishing a Netherlands branch in January 2022 and demonstrates their dedication to fostering the expansion of a responsible iGaming market within the nation.

NOGA holds a vital position in advocating for the interests of the Dutch iGaming sector. Its membership encompasses a variety of stakeholders, including licensed providers such as Flutter, Entain, Kindred Group, and bet365, along with technology suppliers and other pertinent entities.

AdherenceFirst’s choice to join NOGA is particularly noteworthy considering their current collaboration with betnation.nl, a brand under Smart Gamings. In the previous year, Gaming Diligence, AdherenceFirst Group’s regulatory and operational adherence division, formed a comprehensive partnership with betnation.nl, further solidifying their presence within the Dutch market.

Both AdherenceFirst and NOGA have conveyed enthusiasm regarding this new membership. Michael de Graaff, Head of Regulatory Services & Assurance at Gaming Diligence, emphasized how this membership will bolster their capacity to assist clients navigating the dynamic Dutch regulatory environment. Peter-Paul de Goeij, Managing Director of NOGA, warmly greeted AdherenceFirst, acknowledging their proficiency as a valuable resource for the association.

The Netherlands’ gaming regulator, the Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa), has been closely monitoring the conduct of operators towards their clientele. They have been conducting inquiries and revising regulations since the year commenced. René de Graaff, the Ksa’s chairman, has used this occasion to issue a cautionary message to operators.

He essentially stated, “Listen, I’ve been emphasizing this from the outset when we introduced this entire new framework back in October 2021. Approaching regulations as merely another item on a checklist is a formula for failure. You must truly grasp this – safeguarding players is paramount.”
