AskGamblers, a well-known online platform for casino evaluations, has contributed €50,000 (roughly $54,000 USD) to UNICEF in an effort to aid the international struggle against the COVID-19 outbreak.
The financial support originates from proceeds generated at the AskGamblers Charity Night organized in Belgrade in January, which amassed a sum of €66,900. AskGamblers conveyed appreciation to its collaborators within the gaming sector for their involvement in the function.
Nikola Teofilovic, the Vice President of AskGamblers, highlighted the significance of assisting those most susceptible to the virus, indicating that the contribution will facilitate the provision of crucial supplies to medical facilities combating the pandemic.
This benevolent gesture is merely one illustration of the gaming industry’s endeavors to tackle the pandemic. Previously this month, participants of the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC) in the UK donated £2.6 million (approximately $3.2 million USD) to NHS Charities Together, accumulated through a virtual Grand National equestrian competition.
