Following a six-year tenure as Chief Executive Officer, Andreas Ternström has resigned from his position at Scout Gaming Group.
The Swedish businessperson held the title of CEO and President beginning in 2016, but his exit coincides with the organization’s preparations for a substantial reorganization.
Pointing to difficulties confronting the company, Scout Chairman Niklas Braathen conveyed appreciation for the departing CEO’s efforts and stated that “the present time represents the appropriate juncture for Andreas to depart from the organization.”
These obstacles likely allude to Scout’s economic standing, which has been adversely affected by the conflict in Ukraine. The company’s first-quarter report revealed a 20% decline in gaming income.
“Representing the company, I wish to convey our sincere appreciation to Andreas for his significant contributions in establishing the Scout Gaming organization, particularly the product we possess today,” remarked Braathen.
“The company has been navigating a challenging phase for a period, and a significant restructuring and transformation of operations is on the horizon. In light of this context, we have mutually concluded that now is the appropriate time for Andreas to move on from the company.”
Ternström also conveyed his thanks to his coworkers, especially those situated in Ukraine. “I desire to express gratitude to all partners, staff members, board representatives, and proprietors for their backing throughout this journey,” he stated.
My profound appreciation goes out to the courageous and skilled individuals I’ve had the honor of working with in Ukraine. The last two years have brought conflict and hardship, yet their determination has never wavered.
While I am transitioning, my involvement will continue as an investor, and I will remain closely linked to this endeavor. Looking ahead, I aspire to find fresh avenues to support its prosperity and expansion.”
