Cipher Sports Technology Group, a top supplier of iGaming and sports wagering information and solutions, has teamed up with Times Leader Media Group, a well-known newspaper publisher in Pennsylvania.

This collaboration will see Cipher Sports fuel the recently debuted sports betting area of the Times Leader platform. Cipher will furnish the publication with forecasting analytics and knowledge on both professional and collegiate sports organizations.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Cipher Sports Technology Group to deliver a vibrant and engaging sports betting platform to our readership in Pennsylvania,” stated Kerry Miscavage, publisher of Times Leader Media Group. “By merging our extensive news expertise with Cipher Sports’ advanced predictive analytics, we will elevate our coverage of local and national athletic competitions.”

Pennsylvania boasts one of the most developed sports betting sectors in the United States. The state was among the pioneers in legalizing sports gambling after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned a prohibition in May 2018. Pennsylvania subsequently launched online and mobile betting in May 2019, and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board even implemented a self-exclusion program earlier this year.

Cipher Sports Technology Group’s head executive, Adam Fiske, shared his excitement about the collaboration, noting that merging Cipher’s data expertise with the Herald’s extensive audience will generate a combined effect that will certainly enhance the sports wagering experience for their subscribers.

He highlighted their joint objective of a platform that not only provides entertainment but also equips users to make knowledgeable choices.

The Times Herald Group has launched a focused promotional campaign to advertise its sports wagering products to its readers, leveraging the increasing prevalence of sports gambling, especially in Pennsylvania, where a study from July 2023 showed a 48% jump in sports wagering income, considerably surpassing the overall 9% rise in total gaming revenue.
