Zeal Network, a German lottery provider, has renewed its German lottery brokerage permit for its subsidiary Lotto24 AG.
The permit, valid for seven years until June 30, 2029, aligns with the new State Gambling Regulations (GlüNeuRStV) and will enable Lotto24 to continue offering its lottery brokerage services nationwide.
This is the first permit Zeal has received since the GlüNeuRStV went into effect last July 1st. Lotto24’s existing permit, which took effect on July 26, 2017, was initially set to expire on June 30th of this year.
This is also the third renewal of the permit, previously granted in 2012 and 2017. Zeal noted that the separate advertising permit required by the State Gambling Regulations is no longer needed.
The entity responsible for gambling is the Ministry of the Interior and Sport of Lower Saxony, but from January 2023, this will be the Federal Gambling Authority in Saarland.
Zeal CEO Helmut Becker stated: “We are delighted to have the confidence of the states; the seven-year permit duration underscores the company’s administrative law dependability, which has been proven over a decade.”
Passion reported a substantial 101.6% surge in net earnings for the initial quarter of its financial year 2022. This remarkable growth was driven by robust revenue increases and a decrease in operational expenses, all attributed to their successful license renewal.
The newly established national agreement has finally paved the way for online slots and desktop games, but only Mernov, a subsidiary of the Gauselmann Group, has obtained certification thus far. They are presently operating the well-known Jackpot Pirates and Bing Bong brands.
